Miss Murphy’s research interest is MRI and spectroscopy of brain tumours. She did this work while McKissock Lecturer for neurosurgery at St George’s Hospital (2000-2002). She won the Preuss Residents Research Award at the American Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) for this work. She has a varied clinical practice, involving cranial work, stereotactic radiosurgery (cyberknife and gamma knife) degenerative spinal disease and peripheral nerve.
Miss Murphy is a consultant Neurosurgeon with particular interest in: Back Pain, Sciatica, Neck Pain, Brachialgia, Degenerative Spine, Peripheral Nerve, Neurovascular Problems, Brain Tumours, Hydrocephalus, Cyber Knife and Gamma Knife treatments.
