Training & background:
Mr David Greenstein is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon with special interest in venous disease and the treatment of superficial varicose veins and deep vein problems. His main NHS base is at Northwick Park Hospital.
He graduated from the University of Leeds in 1989 and trained at major vascular units in Adelaide, Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham. Since then he has established himself as a worldwide luminary in venous disease and has been involved in pioneering treatments of varicose veins, and the treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). He now also internationally trains, lectures and teaches doctors on these issues.
David’s special interest involves the modern management of venous disease. This includes the new minimal treatment for varicose veins in a walk in walk out session. This also includes treatment of pelvic varicose veins and pelvic venous congestion, as well as treatment of varicose veins in overweight patients. He has also been involved in new pioneering methods for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis and legs that are chronically swollen.
His other area of interest is the treatment of facial blushing (erythrophobia) and excessive sweating.
Mr Greenstein offers the most up to date expert treatment and advice for varicose veins of the leg and other body surface veins including pelvic varicose veins. The treatments are importantly bespoke the the patient and include either or a combination of the latest Radial Fibre technique and Nevertouch Gold tip (EVLA), Radiofrequency (RF) closure (VNUS), Clarivein treatment and GLUE (Venoseal, Cyanoacrylate), Foam sclerotherapy, Infra-Red sclerotherapy, and Veinwave. His technical rate for varicose veins is 99% with very high patient satisfaction. He has had no re-admissions for varicose veins which are treated as an out-patient/ daycase.
Modern treatment of varicose veins, thread veins, spider veins, broken veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), the swollen leg, leg ulcers, pelvic venous congestion, excessive sweating and facial blushing.
